As far as I know, the philosophy of iDEA is unique to the LIS department at UNCG, although I will clarify this with one of my professors. While the wording may be UNCG specific, the meaning of it is at the core of librarianship. iDEA stands for Information, Diversity, Engagement, and Access.

This space will eventually be the home of my own take on the iDEA philosophy as I complete my LIS600 course. Stay tuned.
